Still in poor health, Prince Fenwin sends his brother Vern in his place to negotiate with King Camder.
Mistaking Vern for Fenwinn, Camder has Vern detained.
Telworth the Wise, under the assumed names Jolwick and Hollister, works as an adviser to South Ertund lords.
When Camder realizes Vern is not Fenwin, and knowing his surprise is spoiled, Camder has Vern tried and executed for the death of his father, Jorge.
Kergin and fleet resume raiding the Anduel south coastal waters, stationed out of Merve Watch.
The 2nd Errfulfel Championship is held at Champion's Hold. Nearly 620 participants from as far as Merrod and the Tortund Valley compete. The event is bogged down by the magnitude. 100, 100, 100, 100, 100, 60, 60 free for all melees. Top 16 receive 10 Myron Marks. Top 8 get 20 Myron Marks. top 4 get 40 Myron Marks. Top 2 receive 60 Myron Marks, the title Contender Champion of Errfulfel, and a pass for the next competition. The winner is titled Champion of Errfulfel, paid 100 Myron marks, and given land at Champion's Hold. 16 men are killed. Fat Dorluk of the north Midlands near Dannap Passages takes the title Champion of Errfulfel. Lord Krandor of Trefel takes the title Contender Champion of Errfulfel.
Lord Krandor buys Fat Dorluk's Champion's Hold land at a cost of his entire competition winnings (135 Myron Marks) and a Plainsteed.
Dorluk takes his newfound wealth and returns to the Midlands.
Telworth embeds grand stories of wealth and adventure through pirating around Anduel in the minds of the South Ertund people.
Lord Trefmott visits Fenwin at Fort Rupert and swears to make things right and uphold the agreements promised by his wife.
Pavel travels to Vesop and takes Fenwin's troops.
Trefmott leads his own force, along with Pavel, against Greyfield Castle for the second time in two years.
Jayne marries Prince Galvin of Donwick.
Completely without supply of proper garrison, King Camder is forced to surrender Greyfield Castle quickly to Trefmott's and Pavel's siege force. Camder escapes.

Telworth the Wise recruits many former Anduel pirates living in exile in the Mandals and River Valley South West Coast and begins pirating the Mandals.
Kergin attempts to spend the late winter in Ortund, but is forced to flee back to Merve Watch when confronted by six Errfulfel Imperial warships in the Davley sea.

Telworth the Wise establishes a base in the Valley of Giants and dispatches pirates under his command to raid the Mandals and River Valley South West Coast.
Telworth experiments with commanding pirates to execute land based raids, stationing pirates in the Plains and Mandal's Reach.
Anduelean pirates start showing up along the River Valley South West Coast and in the Plains Region. Telworth the Wise is spotted in the Valley of Giants and Mandal's Reach by Errfulfel authorities.
Merve Watch is attacked from the sea and land by Anduel forces. Kergin escapes with only two ships; a converted ram-ship and a longboat.
Kergin sails to Cantely but is forced to leave just one day after arrival when Jamel Swick, leading an anti-pirate force, discovers and recognizes his ram-ship.
Kergin flees Cantely with a single longboat and reduced crew and works his way to Trandeck Cliffs.
Pavel spends much of the year putting down minor rebellions in south Vesop.
Mark and Grenna return to Greyfield.
Kergin buys a formidable converted merchant ship and crews it with many exiled Andual pirates out at Trandeck Cliffs.
Kergin sets sail for Anduel with his longboat and converted merchantman.
King Fenwin pardons most of the former Vesop Woods brigands and bandits and gives them amnesty.
Kergin re-bases at Merve Watch with an additional prize ship captured on the way.
Kergin begins commerce raiding west of the Anduel Strait.
King Garret's transition to power (under the regency of Lord Trefmott) proves to be smooth and without much incident, with most all of the Greyfield lords swearing fealty.
King Herron the Fox marches an army from Teshren into the Callouse Marshes. He attempts to take the northern portion, held by rebel lords and midlands lords but actually marches too far south into the Errfulfel Empire. It is nearly a month before word reaches Errfulfel City of Herron the Fox's foray.
Dornal draws help from west Penbrooke and sends his own forces against Herron the Fox. 500 Trefel South Woods mercenaries march with Dornal.
~3,000 Teshren soldiers battle ~2,000 Errfulfel men. While Herron the Fox is driven out of the Callouse Marshes, Dornal's force takes many casualties. Nevil is wounded in the fighting.
Under authorization from Gorden the Errfulfel lords in Errfulfel City raise an additional 5,000 professional soldiers out of Ertund, Trahbeck, and some of Durnhall. The new force is sent to join Dornal in the Callouse Marshes after Erwin, located in Imperial Ertund, declines the command citing a desire to soon retire from command.
Nevil retires from the Imperial military and returns to Dershwin Manor.
Disguised as a merchant and in a captured barge, Kergin sails with a small crew to Cantley from Merve Watch.
Kergin buys passage on a trade ship to Port of Errfulfel from Cantley, leaving his ship and crew to wait in Cantley for his return.
Erwin retires from the Imperial military and travels to Vesop.
Kergin travels by land to Dershwin Manor.
Dershwin almost refused audience with his son, Kergin. Dulfen convinces his father to meet with Kergin. Kergin informs his family of Anya and Ilanya in Ortund and leave his father with a large sum of Andual gold and Errfulfel coins.
Gandor goes broke trading high risk foreign goods in Canfuldel after material losses from pirate raids in the Mandal Passages.
Gandor and Erma travel to Dorne Castle.
Kergin travels to Ortund on horse.
Without convincing resources Gandor is unable to stay long at Dorne Castle and travels with Erma to Donwick.
Cyfurrel returns to Errfulfel City following the completion of his tour of the empire.
Cyfurrel sends Gren of Dermith to the Callouse Marshes to replace Dornal's command and re-engage Herron the Fox.
Dornal returns to Errfulfel City.
Kergin travels with Anya and Ilanya to Dershwin manor.
Kergin is married to Anya at Dershwin Manor.
Kergin leaves Anya and Ilanya with his family at Dershwin Manor and travels to the coast of the Flood Plains.
Erwin takes over the military management in Vesop.
Kergin buys passage on a small boat west towards Cantley. The boat is boarded and searched near Port of Errfulfel. Kergin is semi-identified as a suspected pirate and taken to Delco.
Kergin is identified and confirmed as a pirate in Delco by Jamel Swick and imprisoned.
Gren of Dermith captures Danfurrel Keep.
Gren's ~5,500 men continue into Teshren from Danfurrel Keep, engaging Herron the Fox's reinforced army of ~6,500. Herron's men are light militia and impromptu levies. Gren's professional army crushes Herron's forces. Herron crosses the Fresh Sea to East Teshren, evading capture.
Clyff is born, son of Galvin and Jayne.
Erwin marries Lord Trefmott's daughter Janess.
Pavel returns to Cyfurrel City and the Vesop Trade House to find it mismanaged and doing poorly. The manager lost most of the competitive market leads and only had a decent hold on wine imports from the South West.
Mabel, Julia, and Mica travel to Cyfurrel City.
Pavel arranges to have Herber travel through Durnhall to the Dranmeck Sea, around the continent to the Caleronia Sea, then through the Lowlands to Merrod and finally to Teymon.
Pavel attempts to regain control of various import and export markets with the Vesop Trade House to little success.
