Flood Plains (NA - NA)
South East River Valley region, a fertile and wet area along the Dranmeck and Davley seas.
Army II skirmishes with scattered forces from Enhold. The lord of Enhold was supported by men and supplies from other southern River Valley lords. Nearly 6,000 men from the River Valley Flood Plains battled in Enhold and Trahbeck against Myron II's Army II.
Dershwin travels with 15 men-at-arms to the west Flood Plains, joining a proactive makeshift Flood Plains force of around 5,000.
Ertund naval bandits pillage along the Durnhall/Flood Plains coast of the Dranmeck Sea.
Flood Plains lords muster a 4,000 strong force near the Enhold River in anticipation of an attack from the west.
Much of the Flood Plains force gathered east of Trepid Mountain is disbanded.
Dershwin takes 20 men-at-arms and his son, Dulfen, to join an expeditionary force of almost 1,500 Flood Plains soldiers in Enhold.
Emperor Cyfurrel the Younger leads 3,000 troops across the Casot River near the Enhold Mountains and engages around 4,500 Enhold/Flood plains troops. The battle results in a near stalemate after two days. Dershwin survives the fighting with 17 of 20 of his men. Dulfen excitedly claims his first two kills.
Thinking they killed the Emperor Cyfurrel the Durnhall/Enhold soldiers celebrate jubilantly and send word to the Enhold/Flood Plains army to the north.
Emperor Cyfurrel the Younger leads his fatigued and battered force against the celebrating Enhold/Flood Plains army one last time, catching them off guard and routing them. Dershwin loses 6 men before routing and Dulfen loses three fingers from his off hand.
Dershwin and his 11 surviving men-at-arms and Dulfen, along with most of the Flood Plains expeditionary troops, return to the Flood Plains.
Dershwin backs a west Kern lord, Lord Merklew, in the King's absence. Merklew successfully reigns in control of the region.
Most of the Kern lords follow Merklew's lead and agree on submission to the Cyfurrel threat.
Dershwin travels north to Enhold with Merklew and other Kern lords and swears allegiance to Cyfurrel.
The Flood Plains submit to Cyfurrel.
Dershwin sails the Flood Plains coast with his sons Dulfen and Kergin buying bargain grain and feed from coastal settlements and farms with silver coinage he acquired in Enhold. The coins are overvalued in the Flood Plains due to a shortage and the requirement of use by the Errfulfel Empire. Dershwin stockpiles the purchased grain in his rented Ortund warehouse.
Dershwin successfully sells off most of his stockpiled grain and feed during the winter. He profits off the widespread harvest and labor shortages in the region- the exact same problem that forced him to initially sell of his land.
Kergin commands Nevil and two hired hands in the family owned boat while Dershwin commands the hired boat. Both boats buy up grain and feed along the Flood Plains Coast.
Nevil sails the Flood Plains coast buying up grain and feed.
Unable to justify the spending and risk on another grain buyout with the local Flood Plains economy and labor shortages getting better, Dershwin puts Nevil's operation on hold for the year while awaiting overdue word from Kergin.
Kergin's crew mutiny, seizing the fishing boat and leaving Kergin on the shore east of Trepid Inlet in the Flood Plains.
Cyfurrel hires 2,000 short term mercenaries out of the Flood Plains.
Kergin is convinced to join a ship crew out of Kern/Flood Plains. He travels with his recruiter, Jamel Swick, to the Flood Plains.
Kergin leaves Anya and Ilanya with his family at Dershwin Manor and travels to the coast of the Flood Plains.
Cyfurrel II raises Army X out of the Flood Plains.
Dornal's Fleet takes on Army X in the Flood Plains and travels to Ortund. The journey is one of the largest concentrations of sea-borne troops in history, consisting of around 3,000 sailors, 5,000 Army VIII footmen with an additional 1,000 riders, and 5,000 footmen plus 1,000 riders in Army X lead by Cyfurrel II.
On the way to Errfulfel City, Gernoth takes Army III to Fort Victory then into the north Flood Plains to put down a small rebellion.
