Lord Almer sends his brother, Geroth, with Rupert's sons west for protection.
Geroth and his hostages are captured by Trefel raiders near the Trefel-Greyfield border.
Geroth and Rupert's boys are ransomed back to Lord Almer.
Geroth, Prince Fenwin, and Erwin are captured by Myron II's troops trying to sneak out of Greyfield. Rupert's two other sons, Dreywin and Vern escape with some of Geroth's men.
Fenwin, discovered to be a Prince, is taken to Myron II at the Greyfield Castle siege camp. Erwin is brought along as well.
Fenwin studies politics and diplomacy at Greyfield Castle as a 'detained guest' of Myron II.

Mark remains at the Casot School working for Fenwin.
Myron III appoints Jauford, son-in-law to the former King, as King of Greyfield and Vesop (while extending 'Greyfield' to the Trefel border). Prince Fenwin is essentially stripped of land and title but is promised political appointments in the Imperial Seat.
Prince Fenwin travels to the Imperial Seat with his family.
Lynn has a child with Fenwin, but the girl dies immediately following birth.
Fenwin, without duties or responsibilities, returns to Greyfield leaving Lynn, Pavel, and Erwin at the Imperial Seat.
Fearing Fenwin is returning to usurp the throne, King Hollwick has Prince Fenwin placed under house arrest at an estate in north Vesop.
Lynn travels to Trefel to plead with her brother, Frundhul, to do something about Prince Fenwin's confinement.
Cyfurrel promises Lynn that he will attempt to secure Prince Fenwin's release from captivity but treads lightly with the matter and the Greyfield King... Cyfurrel needs Jauford's financial and military support to help ensure a steady transition to power and does not want to take any demanding stance or action that may compromise that support.
Lynn moves to north Vesop, joining her husband, Prince Fenwin, in house arrest under King Jauford Hollwick.
Cyfurrel travels to Greyfield Castle and negotiates Prince Fenwin's and Lynn's release with King Jauford Hollwick.
King Hollwick agrees to release Fenwin under guarantee from Cyfurrel that Hollwick's son, Jorge, will take the throne of Greyfield or his family will rule Greyfield otherwise after his death. Cyfurrel also pays a ransom of gold and silk.
Prince Fenwin and Lynn are released to Cyfurrel's custody.
Cyfurrel and Fenwin travel to Trefel. Lynn returns to Errfulfel City.
Prince Fenwin, after failing to find productive employment in Trefel, joins his wife in Errfulfel City.
Fenwin leads an expedition to the Havrik Islands. He travels down the Errfulfel River from Errfulfel City and across the Trepid Inlet to Delco where they briefly pause to prepare for the bulk of the intercontinental journey. His son Pavel travels with him.
Fenwin's Havrik expedition continues from Delco to Gent then across the Ganmek Ocean destined for Fenmol Shrek. The ships end up astray from the intended course, barely making it across the Kerfey Sea before running out of supplies and arriving at Jornmul Island. The expedition continues on to Dollean and then finally to the Havriks.
Fenwin establishes a small ship base on the northern tip of Big Havrik but finds trading less than satisfactory. The complete lack of local infrastructure or a cohesive societal organization prevents large scale goods procurement.
Native Big Havrik tribes force Fenwin off the island. Without proper supplies for the full return voyage Fenwin is forced to direct the expedition to Dollean.
Fenwin has a bastard child on Dollean. The mother names him Fenwin.
Fenwin, finally with the supplies to return home to Errfulfel, leaves Dollean. His one remaining ship (after selling off the others) sails north to Fenmol Shrek then to Dos Tuln. He crosses the Ganmek Ocean to the north Tendril coast, making a quick detour to Elnerd Mel Hauk for fresh supplies where they also take on Kergin, Anya, and Ilanya as paying passengers and laborers. Resupplied, Fenwin's ship makes the long journey back south, briefly stopping at Gent before continuing all the way to Delco and finally up the Errfulfel River to Errfulfel City. Kergin, Anya, and Ilanya do not disembark at all at Gent and take leave from the ship at Delco.
Fenwin's Havrik expedition is recorded as a failure. No substantial trade goods were brought back at the full expense of ships, men, and supplies.
Fenwin is tasked with a new expedition to the Havrik Islands. He takes four ships with an extra 50 soldiers on each. He travels from Errfulfel City to Delco, Gent, Elnerd Mel Hauk, Urn Tuln Visok, Jornmul, Dollean, and finally Big Havrik.
With a substantial military force (200 soldiers supplementing the 400 sailors), Prince Fenwin is received differently at Big Havrik than the last time around.
Fenwin establishes a mission on Big Havrik devoted to Mother Egu's tenets. The mission consists of a main hall, a learning center, a yard, and three dormitories surrounded by a low wall.
Fenwin sends a single ship to the Mersur Islands to establish Havrik Temple, devoted to the Pantheon. The temple is simple and unspectacular; a single room with crudely carved statues.
Fenwin returns to Errfulfel City from Big Havrik by way of Fenmol Shrek, Gent and Delco.
Fenwin arrives in Errfulfel City with Jaxillian slaves, Havrik spices, rubies, silver, and exotic fish. The expedition is considered a moderate success. Havrik is essentially given up on as a reasonable major trade center. The only truly valuable tradegood available on Havrik are rubies, but they are scarce and not worth the long and expensive journey to acquire.
Cyfurrel builds a special holding pool for Fenwin's Havrik fish in a central plaza in Errfulfel City.
Cyfurrel's uncle by marriage, Fenwin, leads his 2,000 fresh mercenaries into south Durnhall along the Dranmeck Sea.
Kergin joins Fenwin's command- having already met Fenwin five years prior.
Fenwin's force defeats an initial army of 1,800 south Durnhall men then another force of 1,700 two days later. Kergin claims three important kills and receives a position in Fenwin's guard.
Fenwin is recalled to Errfulfel City, his mercenary force is disbanded.
Herber provides Fenwin the funding to hire 197 of his previous command as personal mercenaries. Kergin rejoins Fenwin's command.
Fenwin, with Herber's continued financial support, hires an additional 120 soldiers out of Enhold.
Fenwin marches his 317 men to Myron II's Fall under the imperial banner.
Fenwin recruits an additional 86 men out of south Vesop, many are older veterans who fought for his father 25 years before.
Nearly bankrupted from paying Fenwin's troops' wages, Herber is forced to cease Pavel's Teymon Herber Trade House operations in Teymon and ship goods through the Merrod Trades Guild instead.
Pavel sends his family to Errfulfel City to live with Herber, then travels to Myron II's Fall and joins his father, Fenwin.
Fenwin secures funding from the Greyfield Casot School to purchase two river boats and travels with Pavel and his 401 remaining men up the River Grey to the Torreson Casot School. Kergin and one other mercenary do not make the journey with him.
Kergin leaves Fenwin's employ and returns to Ortund.
Prince Fenwin claims the Torreson Casot School lands, the Rupert Fief, and the north Vesop Woods as his dominion by right.
Fenwin builds Fort Rupert on the edge of the Vesop Woods.
Prince Jorge, son of King Hollwick of Greyfield, marches a force of 700 against Fenwin in Vesop.
Fenwin is driven out of Rupert Fief by Jorge's forces.
Fenwin takes refuge in the Vesop Woods.
King Jauford Hollwick petitions Emperor Cyfurrel to intervene on his behalf and apprehend Fenwin in the Vesop Woods as fulfillment of his oath.
All but 102 of Fenwin's soldiers lay down their weapons and return home. The remaining men fight either out of patriotic fervor as Vesop Woodsmen or for the promise of reward by Prince Fenwin, contender to the throne.
Cyfurrel orders Herber jailed for supporting Fenwin financially, but Herber flees Errfulfel City for Durnhall prior to arrest. Mabel, Julia, and Mica remain in Errfulfel City under Lynn's protection.
Fenwin retreats deep into the Vesop Woods with his men for the winter.
Vern, long lost since 1388, shows up at Fenwin's camp with 300 loyal Vesop woodsmen of good, experienced, warrior stock.
Fenwin and Vern lead their force of 400 out of the Vesop Woods and retake Fort Rupert from the small garrison of Prince Jorge's men.
Lynn convinces her sister Delsa to convince her son, Emperor Cyfurrel, to not intervene on behalf of King Hollwick in Greyfield against Fenwin.
Cyfurrel agrees to only mediate the situation between Prince Fenwin and King Hollwick if Jauford Hollwick surrenders Vesop to Fenwin - otherwise he will let them fight it out as they see fit. Cyfurrel stands by his promise to assure the Hollwick line control of Greyfield, but refuses to make any such promise regarding Vesop.
King Hollwick refuses any agreement with Fenwin.
Fenwin raids a Greyfield winter grain store on the east bank of River Grey.
Many Vesop people turn to Fenwin for support during the winter in face of grain shortages- support he is able to provide.
A small force of Prince Fenwin's men and Prince Jorge's men battle near the Torreson Casot School. Fenwin is injured.
Herber, with the last of his wealth and support bring his 20 remaining employees to Fort Rupert. 13 abandon him shortly after while 7 join Fenwin's ranks.
With resources fading and support scarce, Vern leads Fenwin's men on a last ditch attempt to gain an edge in Vesop in a foray against a Greyfield force commanded by Prince Jorge on the east bank of the River Grey near the Torreson Casot School. Fenwin remains, injured, at Fort Rupert. Vern's 450 men face off against Prince Jorge and 670 men. Vern is ultimately victorious in battle, his Vesop woodsmen carrying the day against Jorge's militia force. Prince Jorge is captured but dies from a wound on the battlefield before ever being presented to Vern.
Prince Fenwin meets with Lady Lelyn Trefmott in Vesop at Fort Rupert. Lelyn promises Fenwin Vesop if Fenwin supports Lord Trefmott's soldiers in freeing Camder and placing him rightfully on the Greyfield throne. Fenwin agrees.
King Camder invites Fenwin to Castle Greyfield to discuss the terms of the agreement made with his sister Lelyn. Fenwin agrees to travel with his health improves.
Still in poor health, Prince Fenwin sends his brother Vern in his place to negotiate with King Camder.
Mistaking Vern for Fenwinn, Camder has Vern detained.
When Camder realizes Vern is not Fenwin, and knowing his surprise is spoiled, Camder has Vern tried and executed for the death of his father, Jorge.
Lord Trefmott visits Fenwin at Fort Rupert and swears to make things right and uphold the agreements promised by his wife.
Pavel travels to Vesop and takes Fenwin's troops.
Lord Trefmott announces Prince Fenwin will be recognized as King of Vesop.
Lynn travels to Vesop to be with King Fenwin.
King Fenwin pardons most of the former Vesop Woods brigands and bandits and gives them amnesty.
The Vesop Trade House, by order of King Fenwin, is the only organization permitted to import silk or Merrod Ale to Vesop from Cyfurrel City through Pavel. Fenwin convinces Lord Trefmott to accept limited Greyfield import contracts from Teymon with the Teymon Herber Trade House through Herber for silk and Merrod ale in King Garret's name.
King Fenwinn, after living years ill and wounded, dies peacefully in his sleep at the Torreson Casot School.
