Galvin's Army IX battles Lord Asroth's entire raised army of around 12,000 just 50 miles south of Fort Faith in Ertund. While Army IX wins due to better discipline, equipment, and training, it is at great cost due to being so outnumbered.
Army IX pulls back to Fort Faith.
Army IX, lead by Galvin, thrusts into Ertund heading south east as Army VIII and Hander push east from the Erien.
Army IX reaches the Ertund Mountains quickly, defeating several militia forces on the way.

Cyfurrel II is tortured extensively and without mercy by agents of Galvin at Galvin Hall.
The South West Conspirators, fearing news of an Imperial Army in Greyfield, send Cyfurrel II south and east, away from Galvin Hall. Galvin, Elwick, and Hemfall are unaware that the Imperial army is Army XIII and under command of Galvin's son, Bale. King Hemfall objects to sending Cyfurrel II to their powerbase, the South West, because Army XIV lead by Cyfurrel II's bastard son, Yoland, and Army I lead by Crenhall (of unknown allegiance to them) both hold strong presence there.
King Galvin discovers that Bale leads the imperial army in Greyfield (Army XIII) and recruits him to his side. The soldiers are hardly aware of what is going on and only informed that civil war is imminent.
Crenhall meets with King Galvin at Casot's Rest under assurance of safety from King Loken.
