Cyfurrel announces the first Errfulfel Championship, a competition of warriors.
Fenwin secures funding from the Greyfield Casot School to purchase two river boats and travels with Pavel and his 401 remaining men up the River Grey to the Torreson Casot School. Kergin and one other mercenary do not make the journey with him.
Kergin leaves Fenwin's employ and returns to Ortund.
East Anduel lords recognize that the 'poor fishermen' of the Arn are buying more and more expensive and advanced warships. They realize that there must be a lot of easy money to be made in interdiction raiding and dispatch entire pirate fleets of their own to the Anduel Strait.
Camder travels to Champion's Hold.
Prince Fenwin claims the Torreson Casot School lands, the Rupert Fief, and the north Vesop Woods as his dominion by right.
Fenwin builds Fort Rupert on the edge of the Vesop Woods.
Telworth the Wise's brokered ship sales grind to a halt as fewer ships are being sold to west Anduel because they are being put to use by the builders themselves. The demand still exists, though.
Telworth the Wise takes his own warship, stationed out of Mackwin, to the Davley Sea to capture ships which he plans to sell in the Arn.
A boy is born to Dornal and Anageld. Anageld barely lives through the birthing. The boy does not survive.
Prince Jorge, son of King Hollwick of Greyfield, marches a force of 700 against Fenwin in Vesop.
Fenwin is driven out of Rupert Fief by Jorge's forces.
Fenwin takes refuge in the Vesop Woods.
Kergin travels to Champion's Hold to participate in the first Errfulfel Championship.
Kergin buys a suite of mail with the last of his money.
King Jauford Hollwick petitions Emperor Cyfurrel to intervene on his behalf and apprehend Fenwin in the Vesop Woods as fulfillment of his oath.
All but 102 of Fenwin's soldiers lay down their weapons and return home. The remaining men fight either out of patriotic fervor as Vesop Woodsmen or for the promise of reward by Prince Fenwin, contender to the throne.
Cyfurrel orders Herber jailed for supporting Fenwin financially, but Herber flees Errfulfel City for Durnhall prior to arrest. Mabel, Julia, and Mica remain in Errfulfel City under Lynn's protection.
Telworth the Wise returns to Mackwin with 3 prize ships and spends the winter as an honored guest of Mackwin's lord.
Fenwin retreats deep into the Vesop Woods with his men for the winter.
The first Errfulfel Championship is held in Trahbeck. 260 men participate, many former Imperial soldiers, some existing soldiers, and several River Valley nobles (and 6 Durnhall lords). There is a round of three free for all melees with 100, 100, and 60 participants. The last 10 men standing in the 100 man melees and the last 6 men standing in the 60 man melees are promoted to a one on one direct elimination tournament. The top 8 men are paid 18 Myron marks. The top 4 are paid 36 Myron Marks. The top 2 men are paid 80 Myron Marks. The winner is titled Champion of Errfulfel, paid 100 Myron marks, and given land at Champion's Hold. A native of Trahbeck, Gren of Dermith, wins the championship. Gren served in Imperial Ertund from 1408-1412. The participants use woven reed batons as weapons. Two participants die, several are severely wounded.
Kergin makes it to the direct elimination round of the Errfulfel Championship. He defeats his first opponent, then submits in battle- making it to the top 16.
Kergin is convinced to join a ship crew out of Kern/Flood Plains. He travels with his recruiter, Jamel Swick, to the Flood Plains.
Telworth the Wise travels to the Arn with his small fleet and sells his 3 prize ships.
Despite his many ship sales, Telworth has little personal wealth and actually sells as a sponsored captain in a small Arn fleet, pirating the Anduel Strait.
Kergin, Jamel Swick, and crew work under their captain, Wendyl, as an escort ship for merchant vessels traveling between Ortund, Cantley, and Delco.
Kergin is able to visit Anya and Ilanya in Ortund frequently.
Vern, long lost since 1388, shows up at Fenwin's camp with 300 loyal Vesop woodsmen of good, experienced, warrior stock.
Port of Errfulfel is established at the mouth of the Errfulfel River.
Cyfurrel City is established at the top of the Enhold River.
Fenwin and Vern lead their force of 400 out of the Vesop Woods and retake Fort Rupert from the small garrison of Prince Jorge's men.
Lynn convinces her sister Delsa to convince her son, Emperor Cyfurrel, to not intervene on behalf of King Hollwick in Greyfield against Fenwin.
Cyfurrel travels to Greyfield Castle.
Cyfurrel agrees to only mediate the situation between Prince Fenwin and King Hollwick if Jauford Hollwick surrenders Vesop to Fenwin - otherwise he will let them fight it out as they see fit. Cyfurrel stands by his promise to assure the Hollwick line control of Greyfield, but refuses to make any such promise regarding Vesop.
King Hollwick refuses any agreement with Fenwin.
Cyfurrel returns to Errfulfel City.
Wendyl joins his ship with a fleet of three other small escorts.
Fenwin raids a Greyfield winter grain store on the east bank of River Grey.
Many Vesop people turn to Fenwin for support during the winter in face of grain shortages- support he is able to provide.
Cyfurrel travels to and launches a fleet of warships from Port of Errfulfel. They are tasked with fighting pirates.
Wendyl and thee ships join under Lord Henrick to disrupt Anduel coastal shipping.
Wendyl moves to command the small fleet from another ship, leaving Kergin as captain of his old ship.
A small force of Prince Fenwin's men and Prince Jorge's men battle near the Torreson Casot School. Fenwin is injured.
Prince Jorge occupies the Torreson Casot School.
Lord Henrick takes a small company across the Anduel Strait. Wendyl and his fleet, with Kergin captaining one ship, engage in open battle against an Anduel fleet while supporting Henrick's transport.
Lord Henrick captures Aaron's Hold on Anduel.
Herber, with the last of his wealth and support bring his 20 remaining employees to Fort Rupert. 13 abandon him shortly after while 7 join Fenwin's ranks.
With resources fading and support scarce, Vern leads Fenwin's men on a last ditch attempt to gain an edge in Vesop in a foray against a Greyfield force commanded by Prince Jorge on the east bank of the River Grey near the Torreson Casot School. Fenwin remains, injured, at Fort Rupert. Vern's 450 men face off against Prince Jorge and 670 men. Vern is ultimately victorious in battle, his Vesop woodsmen carrying the day against Jorge's militia force. Prince Jorge is captured but dies from a wound on the battlefield before ever being presented to Vern.
Telworth the Wise, facing growing numbers of warships and escorts around Anduel and a rapidly decreasing prize rate travels to Manfold Hall, taking command of his brother, King Lord Manfer's harbor defenses.
Wendyl dies with his ship in a naval engagement off the coast of Gorn by Sea. Kergin tries to take his place as fleet commander by Jamel Swick is elected fleet commander of the three remaining boasts.
Jamel Swick removes Kergin as captain of his ship and takes the position himself.
Kergin leaves the fleet briefly to visit Anya and Illanya in ortund.
King Jauford Hollwick dies from old age, never knowing of his son's death.
Jamel Swick raids Anduel shipping around Gorn by Sea. Kergin returns to the fleet and serves as crew for the campaign.
Dominic, the eldest living son of his line, takes the throne of Greyfield at Greyfield Castle.
Camder travels from Champion's hold to Greyfield and demands the Greyfield throne from Domonic.
Domonic sallies and breaks Camder's siege. Camder attempts to flee but is apprehended and held at Greyfield Castle.
Soldiers previously loyal to Prince Jorge rally under his first daughter Leyln's husband's banner in north west Greyfield.
Lord Trefmott marches against Domonic. DOmonic retreat's to Greyfield Castle.
Prince Fenwin meets with Lady Lelyn Trefmott in Vesop at Fort Rupert. Lelyn promises Fenwin Vesop if Fenwin supports Lord Trefmott's soldiers in freeing Camder and placing him rightfully on the Greyfield throne. Fenwin agrees.
Mark aligns himself with Dominic at Greyfield Castle, providing needed legitimacy to Dominic.
Grenna, Mark's wife, takes Erma to Trefel to stay with an aunt.
King Lord Manfer discretely travels to Errfulfel to negotiate directly with Cyfurrel.
Pavel travels with Herber to Cyfurrel City and opens the Vesop Trade House. The Vesop Trade House, being one of the first of its kind int he newly designated import place of the empire expands its tradebase quickly, forecasting a lucrative trade in importing wine, ale, silk, silver, and lumber while exporting iron ingots and minted gold.
Jamel Swick's fleet grows to 6 ships. Kergin is made captain of a ship in the fleet, again.
Herber is identified in Cyfurrel City by a former competitor merchant from Merrod and is arrested and sent to Errfulfel City.
Herber sits in a Errfulfel City jail while Cyfurrel is away at Port of Errfulfel. Lynn asks Delsa to ensure he is treated well while in confinement.
