Diplomacy is NOT a tactic used. Myron II takes 10,000 casualties but inflicts over 18,000 casualties to the midlanders over a three month campaign in the Tanhurst Plains. Three main battles are fought, one in the first month and two in the third month.

King Haspen II's rule over Canfuldel presents a new situation for both sides of the border.

The Myron Empire lords respond to Myron II's wealth and manpower demands: the Midlands lords send 5,000 men and 6 pounds of gold. The South Wood lords send 2,000 men and 375 pounds of gold. The Callouse Marshes lords send 5,000 men and 6 pounds of gold. The Penbrooke lords send 4,500 men and 100 pounds of gold (37.5 extra). The South Wood River Basin send 2,000 men and 100 pounds of gold (275 short). The Nazreth Valley sends 1000 men and 500 pounds of gold. Imperial Ertund lords deliver 8,000 men, no gold. Lords int he Tortund Valley send an additional 300 pounds of gold in support (tribute). 19,500 men and 1381 pounds of gold is collected in total. The payment nearly bankrupts many lords of gold and manpower, but in the face of Myron II's idle army of nearly 20,000 Drap and Northmen, there was little choice in the matter.
Myron II establishes two coin mints. Grefurn Mint and one at Basin's Spout. Myron begins minting 7g coins of gold with his likeness on them. Over the next few years the mints manufacture over 50,000 Myron Marks. The remaining gold is stored or used in ingot form.
To alleviate worries that more huge tribute payments would be due, Myron II institutes a census system. Imperial census workers travel the empire taking count of manpower and wealth in each lord's dominion. The system is horribly corrupted, with lords bribing census workers to under report values. With the change of every season, Myron II collects a 'reasonable' tribute of men and gold based on the census reports. The system proves to be very inefficient.
