Myron III leads his army against a force consisting of troops and lords from Donwick, the South West River Valley, and the Trepid Mountain/Mercer River areas. After a massive battle, the River Valley force is routed.
Dominic commands an entire arm of Myron III's force in the Donwick campaign.
Mark takes a wound, crippling his leg and returns to Greyfield after the first Donwick campaign battle.
Vasslow is granted full command of the army's baggage train.
Myron III presses his advance and reconnects with the River Valley force, battling once again but this time completely destroys the enemy army.
The River Valley forces numbered between 60-65,000. Myron III's army took around 30-35,000 casualties. The River Valley forces took nearly 55,000 casualties.
Dershwin travels with 15 men-at-arms to the west Flood Plains, joining a proactive makeshift Flood Plains force of around 5,000.
Nearly the entire central and west River Valley Regions submit to Myron III's command.
During a relatively small engagement in the South West River Valley Myron III is killed in battle.
Frundhul travels to Greyfield and pronounces Myron IV emperor but then sends him off through Trefel to the Imperial Seat. The boy is sickly; Frundhul tries to hide the fact while he consolidates the empire's power in Myron IV's name.
Following the death of Myron III, Dershwin returns home with his men.
Mark travels to Trefel as courtier and ambassador. His father, King Jauford, wants to establish immediate diplomatic connections with Trefel in the case that the transition to Myron IV/Frundhul's rule goes awry.
Erwin is born.
Mark spends most of his time in Trefel as a court guest, since Frundhul's presence prevents any direct negotiations.
