Leopuld (1348-1398,50)
Father: Haspen II Mother: N/A
Son of Haspen II
The Trefel army is recalled from the South Wood. Myron III makes a deal with Haspen II's son Leopuld resulting in Leopuld giving up any claims on the Trefel King title, the dissolution of the Trefel Kingdom, the exile of all Trefel lords loyal to Haspen II or his exiled son, Haspen III who fled to Merrod, and Leopuld taking the title Duke of Trefel as a semi-independent region of the Myron Empire.
Myron III appoints Cyfurrel as Overseer of Trefel to keep tabs on Leopuld and act as a limited Census Overseer. Leopuld also agrees to pay 2.5 tons of gold to the Myron Empire and send 10,000 soldiers for imperial service by the end of the year.
Myron III takes Leopuld's daughter, Lyssa as wife and his grandson Damien II as ward to seal the peace deal between the Myron Empire and Trefel Duchy.
With Rey II exerting new absolute control over Trefel, Mark fails to achieve any diplomatic connections with local Trefel lords, Damien, or Leopuld.
Damien enters Trefel and murders Rey II. Leopuld gives himself up to Imperial forces in place of his son. Leopuld is taken to the Imperial Seat.
Fearing a lack of stern authority would signal the end of the Empire and hoping to halt and subversive element before it can come to fruition, Frundhul condemns Leopuld and sends him to the Callouse Marshes.
Leopuld is executed by Drenundson.
